Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
A tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside the pneumatic tyres on various types of vehicles.
TPMS report real-time tyre-pressure information to the driver of the vehicle, either via a gauge, a pictogram display, or a simple low-pressure warning light. Do not ignore the signs.
The target of a TPMS is mainly a very important safety issue: avoiding traffic accidents, poor fuel economy, and increased tyre wear due to under-inflated tyres through early recognition of a hazardous state of the tyres.
The importance of your TPMS can not be underestimated. Tyre pressure monitors have been a legal requirement on all new passenger vehicles since November 2014, under EU legislation. If your TMPS is malfunctioning you will automatically fail your NCT.
We have a Top Class digital diagnostic system to identify your TPMS problem. We also stock TPMS sensors if yours needs replacing.
